Arts Educator

Through my education in fine arts from Rhode Island School of Design and over eight years of teaching experience I have honed the skills necessary to nurture enthusiastic learning environments that foster highly driven students. The three key elements that help me accomplish this are; creating a strong sense of community, catering each lesson to benefit individual learning needs and setting high standards. For the past eight years I have enjoyed empowering youth and adults to build technical, critical thinking and self-expression skills through the arts and other cultural activities. I have taught at various arts centers, colleges, as well as summer and after school programs. Including; Prince George’s Community College, Suitland Center for the Arts High School and Quiet Waters Summer Camp. And boy do we have fun!
